There’s always one isn’t there! The one whose dress fits perfectly but she expects something more.
So far out of the hundreds of bridal dresses I’ve worked it’s the younger lady who expect to look flawless. I am a seamstress not a surgeon!
My latest young bride to be spent the whole hour of her second fitting examining what seemed every inch of her body within her dress. Having already taken it in, taken it up, lifted straps, let down straps......she still wasn’t happy! What to do? What to say? In my mind I knew exactly what to say but fortunately brain told mouth otherwise.
After discussions on garment construction and more pulling and pinning I think I’m achieving ‘her’ look.
With a smile and an inner sigh I have more changes to make to an already perfect fitting dress. Why are we women always unhappy with the way we look?
